Laminated glass production

«Siberian Glass Company» is a certified laminated glass producer.

The company produces laminated glass of building purposes, laminated glass for safety glazing of overland transport and decorative laminated glass.

An autoclave in the laminated glass departmentThe following glass types are used for laminated glass production:

  • clear float-glass
  • stuff dyed
  • tempered
  • enamelled
  • reflective
  • thermal control

Output production:

  • flat and bent laminated building glass for safety glazing of buildings and constructions
  • automotive glass for buses, building and tractor machinery, railway transport and others
  • bent glass for refrigerated cases and furniture
  • decorative laminated glass for creation of original interior components

Technical production capabilities:

  • production capacity — up to 450m² of production per 24hours
  • flat laminated building glass — maximum glass sizes 3 500×1 700mm
  • bent laminated building glass — maximum glass sizes 2 300×1 300mm
  • laminated automotive glass — maximum glass sizes 2 300×1 300mm

To produce laminated glass «Siberian Glass Company» uses Trosifol (Germany) and Saflex (USA) polyvinyl butyral film, which allows to manufacturer the products that are highly competitive with the European analogues in their quality.

EVA film is used for decorative laminated glass production. It doesn’t require autoclave operation, which greatly accelerates lamination process.

EVA-laminated glass is manufactured with vacuum bag application at the unit of glass heating and vacuum lamination called Laminating Machine BJ-168 (Chinese People's Republic). The equipment allows pasting sheets of glass with cloth, paper, pictures, photos, ultraviolet unilateral transparent coatings, sun protective films or with special films for the production of art and decorative glass of different type.

General information

Laminated glass (protective glass) is two or more glass sheets attached together along the full length with polyvinyl butyral film or polymeric composition. Laminated glass is used for glazing of the units with higher safety requirements. Laminated glass distinguishes by its mechanical strength and impact resistance. If it breaks, glass pieces do not shatter, but remain attached to the film, which prevents people from traumatizing.

Glass sheets and film layer combination allows to produce highly durable material, that is resistant to blows, explosions and even shots from fire-arms. Such glass is applied, where safety of people and material values is to be guaranteed: at banks, show-windows, museums, show galleries, in office partition production and decoration of shopping centers, in glazing of kindergartens, schools, sport halls etc.

Laminated glass can be produced from different types of glass and is used for insulating glass production.

Laminated glass production technology

A particular amount of glass sheets is used for laminated glass production. There are several stages of the production process: glass cutting to a particular size, edging, washing, silkscreen printing (of necessity) and bending at the furnace for forming a required shape. Then polyvinyl butyral film is placed between glass sheets, after pre-pressing glass goes through autoclaving at +150ºC temperature and 12,5Bar pressure.
