«Siberian Glass Company» offers a product that is exclusive for the Siberian Region — electrically heated glass SG Heat (heated insulating glass units).

Electrically heated glass SG Heat — a construction of several safety glass, on one side of which a conducting low emissivity coating based on metal oxides is applied.

As the conductive glass, thermal control glass with «hard» metallized coating (K-glass) is used. Glass gets equipped with electrodes with outlets for being connected to a voltage source. While current transmission, glass warms up uniformly along the whole surface and transfers heat to environment from the side of conductive coating being applied to. The construction works at max voltage 220V and can be heated up to 60 — 70ºC.

Heated laminated glass SG Heat can be used both as an individual product and as a part of insulating glass.

Such products are equipped with voltage regulators that are used to fix a required heating level of a glass surface. «Siberian Glass Company» offers several types of voltage regulators with a various set of functions — from the simplest model up to a highly intelligence device that can be connected to a smart control system of building like «Smart house».
 
Visually electrically heated glass SG Heat is almost indistinguishable from regular window glass. SG Heat light transmission amounts to 70 -75%.

Heated glass and insulating glass units with SG Heat glass can be used:

1. for ice and snow melting for translucent roofs and inclined surfaces as protection from excess snow;
2. as the additional or the main source of heating system in combination with heating systems of floor and ceiling;
3. as protection of windows and stained-glass windows from condensation in buildings with high humidity.

Advantages of usage

Comfort

Electrically heated glass SG Heat helps to create comfort microclimate indoors. Glass heats up quite fast, and radiated heat is felt some time later after glass connection to power. Heating up to «comfort heat» temperature of 40⁰C is enough to protect an insulating glass unit from condensate and weeping. Heating up to higher temperatures makes SG Heat act as an additional source of heat indoors.

Moreover, SG Heat application protects from draught due to homogeneous temperature distribution within a glass surface.

Cost effectiveness

When heating SG Heat in an insulating glass up to «comfort heat» temperature of 40⁰C, power consumption per 1 square meter amounts to 300Watt per hour. The present power inputs are compared with energy consumption of a domestic electric bulb. 

Lack of heat losses

Coming from heated glass surface, heat radiation spreads only indoors. When SG Heat is used as inner glass in a triple insulating glass unit, there is almost no heat transfer to outside. 

Safety

Heated laminated glass SG Heat and insulating glass unit, consisting of laminating glass, are produced only from tempered glass. In laminated glass construction K-glass is installed with the coating being inside to avoid contact with electric current in case of glass destruction.

Destruction of tempered glass happens with formation of safety glass pieces without sharp cutting edges. At the same time conductive layer loses its integrity, which leads automatic safety device into action. The device switches off power supply of heated glass SG Heat.
