General Information

Sheet glass is the term which combines different kinds of glass. Method and form of production are basics for common definition:
- manufacture by float and vertical glass stretching methods
- glass in a form of flat rectangular sheets, which thickness is too small relatively to length and width

Additional processing of glass surface or adding of special components during production, adds special properties to glass. Depending on purpose of usage, there are different kinds of sheet glass with special properties. 

Sheet polished float-glass — colorless transparent glass which is meant for glazing of translucent building constructions, means of transport, furniture and also for the production of glass with coatings, mirrors, tempered and laminated glass and other products of construction, technical and domestic functions.

Solar control glass — glass with different level of light transmission and reflection. Stuff dyed glass; tinted glass with different types of reflective (solar control) coatings and glass tinted by means of polymer film also refer to solar control glass. This kind of glass protects from sunlight and restricts transmission of ultraviolet radiation to living rooms, preventing furniture and articles of interior from discoloration.

Thermal control glass (low emissivity glass, «TOP-GLASS») — polished glass with a special low emissivity metal oxide coating that allows to keep more warm indoors in comparison with standard glass.

Multifunctional glass — glass with special coating that combines such properties as sun control, thermal protection, light transmission, transparency and aesthetic state.  

Self cleaning glass —transparent glass with special coating that is applied on the external part of glass and under effect of ultraviolet lights destroys organic residues that later can be easily washed by rain water.
