General information

Acryl stone Staron® — the up-to-date finishing material that consists of acryl resins with addition of pigments and natural minerals. Staron® is made in sheets of different sizes. Fillings are mainly produced on the basis of aluminum trihydrate (alumina).

Staron® is produced by a chemical company Samsung Cheil Industries (South Korea) that is a part of a world corporation Samsung — a leader in a field of communication and information technologies.

Acryl stone Staron® is applied to finish working surfaces of kitchen furniture, bar and administrative counters and bathroom furniture.  Staron® possesses a unique quality of getting any shape under heating; due to this the present material may be used to realize the most adventurous interior solutions:

Aesthetics

Artificial stone Staron® distinguishes due to visual appeal of natural stone, but is out of its disadvantages (brittleness, great weight, complexity in processing, lack of pattern coincidence, impossibility of sutureless joining).

A collection of acryl stone Staron® includes more than 100 colours that imitate different kinds of natural stone. All the material sheets within one collection colour unit are homogeneous in colour that helps to make all decorative articles in a single united style.

Being a finishing material, Staron® unites stylish outward appearance and functionality. 

Plasticity

Artificial stone Staron® consists of acryl resin that allows bending material sheets under heating up to high temperatures, making any shape of the final product. Thermoforming (abilityto forming) — the quality of acryl stone that makes the present material popular among designers.

Hygienicness

Acryl stone Staron® — the solid, non-porous material. Due to its structure this environmentally appropriate material is waterproof. It does not absorb fats and liquid, does not provide harmful substances and is impervious for fungi and bacteria. There are no marks left from domestic liquids, tea, coffee etc. on a kitchen counter made of artificial acryl stone Staron®.

Acryl stone Staron® is absolutely harmless. It can be used not only for interior of residential areas, but also for medical, children and social premises.

Damage tolerance

Acryl stone Staron® is resistant to an influence of domestic chemicals and boiling water. There are no knife marks and scratches left on it. If under exploitation large scratches, marks from hot crockery appear on a working surface, the material can easily get the initial appearance by means of a polishing machine.  Acryl stone Staron® can be submitted to restoration (repair).

Jointless combination

Staron® can be pasted without joints. That means, that it does not matter how large a counter or any other article from artificial stone Staron® is, sheet joints of the material won’t be noticed. Moreover, it is possible to combine stone in different colours, creating decorative insertions, artistic compositions, mosaic etc.

Easy treatment

Articles from acryl stone Staron® are durable. They do not require special treatment. Washing of the material surface with a wet cloth or neutral cleaner is enough to maintain great outward appearance for a long period of time.
